Ben Shapiro could be down to host PewDiePie’s meme review videos

American conservative commentator, writer, and lawyer Ben Shapiro might actually be interested in collaborating with YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg.

PewDiePie made the suggestion in a recent ‘meme review’ video, a series where the YouTuber reacts to the internet’s trending memes.

In the video, Pewds reviewed two clips of Shapiro playing the violin – although he wasn’t quite sure why Shapiro was so popular as a meme.

“Why is Ben Shapiro peak meme right now?” he asked. “Can someone explain this? Ben Shapiro! We need Ben Shapiro hosting the next meme review. That’s the only way.”

Shapiro was made aware of his mention in the video by another Twitter user by the name of Keegen McCracken, who responded to one of Shapiro’s Tweets with a captioned image of the video.

As it happens, Shapiro apparently feels that Pewd’s suggestion is pretty ‘epic.’

“Okay, this is epic,” he Tweeted in response to the image.

PewDiePie himself responded to Shapiro’s comment in kind – although whether his response was in jest or in seriousness is unclear.

“This is beyond epic,” he Tweeted, posting a screenshot of Shapiro’s comment below.

While PewDiePie’s suggestion in the video was likely a joke, a legitimate collaboration between the two would certainly produce a slew of meme-worthy moments.

Shapiro is known for his conservative political views, which have garnered him ample criticism across the internet.

Although he was made fun of in PewDiePie’s video, he seems to be taking the joking in good spirits – or, should we say, ‘epically.’
