Asmongold on saudi sponsorship

Popular Twitch streamer Asmongold revealed he would have accepted Mizkif’s Saudi Arabian sponsorship deal.

On June 29, Twitch star Mizkif backtracked on accepting a lucrative deal with Saudi Arabia that included a trip to the Middle Eastern country after learning about the country’s numerous human rights abuses.

The deal, which was also sent to fellow Twitch stars Emiru and Tfue, would have the streamers fly out to Saudi Arabia for four days to play Fortnite.

After news of the controversial sponsorship broke, Asmongold decided to give his two cents and revealed that, unlike Mizkif, he wouldn’t have had any issue accepting it.

Asmongold says he would take Saudi Arabian sponsor… sort of

During a June 30 broadcast, the World of Warcraft streamer addressed the controversy, noting how the United States has its fair share of problems as well.

“So basically, the way I make all of my decisions is a very simple question: is this beneficial to me?” explained. “And if it’s beneficial to me, then I do it. That’s it. Everything else below that, is like, I would say it’s subtext, but to be honest, it’s not even on the page.”

With this in mind, Asmongold revealed he would actually have taken the Saudi Arabian deal, but there was “no f**king way” he was going to travel.

This revelation had some fans wondering if he would ever take a sponsorship from Russia – something Asmongold had to think a bit about.

“It depends on what it is. Like, if Vladimir Putin sponsored me, I don’t know, probably not, I think that would be kind of weird,” he answered. “But that’s about it.”

We’ll have to wait and see if Saudi Arabia ends up reaching out to Asmongold for a potential sponsorship, but it’s clear that he won’t have any qualms about accepting, unless, of course, he has to travel.
