The Story of ESL One Cologne So Far as The Semi-Finals Are Set

ESL One Cologne are down to the final four teams as the star studded semi-finals are set, after an explosive group stage.

Unsurprisingly, favorites Astralis strolled through Group A, as well as FaZe Clan, but there were surprise results also as BIG upset MiBR and Renegades to snag a quarter final place.

This means that some major names fell early, including Cloud9, Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas and MiBR.

Na’Vi and Fnatic played the first of the quarter finals, in what was in the end a comfortable 2-0 for Na’Vi, despite Fnatic putting up a fight.

And BIG continued their hugely impressive run with a win over G2 Esports, and snagging themselves a place in the other semi-final against FaZe Clan.

Astralis will remain heavy favorites but Na’Vi will no doubt prove a tough battle for them in the opening semi-final.

Meanwhile, BIG will do well to continue their shockingly good run of form in their match against FaZe, but who knows – the momentum may just be enough to carry them through.
