CS:GO – RobbaN leaves FaZe, high-profile replacement already lined up

FaZe Clan CS:GO had a major shakeup with their coach Robert ‘RobbaN’ Dahlstrom stepping down from the organization.

FaZe released a statement saying RobbaN made the decision to step down in order to focus on his personal life.

“I became a dad for second time back in September and the traveling has been very hard for me,” said RobbaN, who also plans to be involved with the organization in a different capacity – one that presumably involves less traveling.

RobbaN’s next role will be announced in late January. The former coach has been an instrumental part of FaZe Clan, joining the organization in 2016 to become their first ever CS:GO manager.

The search for a replacement may not take long however, sources are reporting that Janko ‘YNk’ Paunovic is being lined up to replace RobbaN.

YNk was recently let go from Made in Brazil, who underwent an all-Brazilian makeover when they traded Jake ‘Stewie2K’ Yip for Epitácio ‘TACO’ de Melo and head coach Wilton ‘zews’ Prado from Team Liquid. YNk was not involved in the deal and was instead released.

FaZe Clan still has a roster vacancy the new coach will have to deal with, whoever that ends up being.

Despite official confirmation from the organization, a FaZe Clan player accidentally revealed that their fifth will be Gambit’s Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev.
