Steins;Gate cosplayer discovers time travel as Kurisu Makise

Steins;Gate originally made its debut in as a visual novel on the Xbox 360 and PC in 2009. However over the last decade, it has become one of the most critically acclaimed anime series of all time.
Bringing the show’s lead female protagonist to life, a skilled cosplayer shared her detailed take on Kurisu Makise. She looks so much like the scientist, it’s almost as if she’s time traveled out of the screen.

While Steins;Gate revolves around “mad scientist” Rintarou Okabe, the protagonists discovers time travel after becoming entangled with the brilliant physicist, Kurisu.
Cosplayer Adry ‘missflamingo.cosplay‘ brought the character to life with an accurate costume, which she shared on Instagram. The artist nailed her look, re-creating her flowing red hair and purple eyes.
Adry posed as the character in the selfie, and mirrored the character’s signature outfit which includes a beige jacket, white collared shirt, and a loose red tie.
In another photo, the cosplayer faithfully captured the heroine’s quirky sense of fashion by including the mini belts that wrap around her arms, as well as her golden belt buckle.
Adry’s take on the Steins;Gate character is full of details, including her black shorts and leg stockings. She even managed to style her hair to have the pointy bangs that flow down the middle of her face.
Despite releasing as a visual novel in 2009, its 2011 anime adaptation has continued to be one of the most beloved series in the entire genre. Viewers around the world fell in love with its emotional time travel story.
The show was so popular, it got a theatrical film in 2013 and a sequel season in 2018 called Zero that was praised by critics and fans. Those wanting to experience the sci-fi narrative can watch all episodes on Funimation and Crunchyroll.
