True-to-life female Pokémon Trainer cosplay sends fans into a frenzy
An incredibly skilled cosplayer showed off her take on Pokémon Black and White’s female Trainer, and looks like the character jumped from the screen into real life.

Pokémon is not only one of the biggest selling franchises for Nintendo, in 2019 it’s the highest grossing media franchise of all time, beating out giants such as Disney and Star Wars. The lovable Japanese RPG is currently on its eight generation.
As we celebrate the upcoming release of Pokémon Sword and Shield on November 15, a talented cosplayer showed off her version of generation five’s Black and White female trainer, and looks so much like her that we are seeing double

Pokémon’s female trainer to life
Cosplayer ‘mintosylveon‘ posted her costume on her Instagram, and wowed fans with how similar she looked to the female trainer in Black and White. The designer perfectly re-created her wrist bands, and black vest, as well as the protagonists iconic hat.
Holding a Pokéball in one hand, the cosplayer also held a plush of the starting Pokemon ‘Tepig’, which was the fire type for the fifth generation title.

The artist also posed as the RPG’s protagonist and showed off the attention to detail that she put into re-creating the costume, especially with the shorts with its jagged pockets that hang out the bottom, and her Pokébag.
Just like the first picture, the cosplayer also brought her trusty starter sidekick Tepig, while also having the popular bi-pedal fighting lizard ‘Scraggy’ along for her adventures.

Not the only trainer she’s portrayed
Mintosylveon has also dressed up as previous generation protagonists, such as the 2016 release Sun and Moon’s female trainer ‘Selene’. The tropical themed game’s character sports a red hat, green shorts and a yellow shirt that is tied in a knot in the front.
Re-creating the seventh generation protagonist, the cosplayer also teamed up with a friend who portrays the games other main character – Lillie, who has become one of the most popular characters in the series. The duo incredibly bring the characters to life.

The 23 year-old Russian cosplayer has built up an impressive audience, with over 13k followers on her Instagram, and has a patreon where she sells higher resolution photos of her costumes.
While she mostly tackles Nintendo franchises like Fire Emblem and Zelda, the skilled designer also dressed up as other Japanese titles such as the popular RPG series Persona which is developed by Atlus.
