An incredibly talented cosplayer’s Demon Slayer Nezuko outfit went viral in 2019, and is the best take on the cursed anime character that fans will ever see.

One of the breakout anime series of 2019 was Demon Slayer as fans were riveted by the show’s dark themes. The story centers on teenage boy Tanjiro Kamado’s journey to avenge his family after they are brutally killed by demons.

A skilled cosplayer wowed fans with her accurate take on the protagonist’s tragic sister Nezuko. Her outfit became a viral hit as she brought the popular anime character to life like never before.

Demon Slayer’s Nezuko comes to life

In the series’ plot, Nezuko is the only member of Tanjiro’s family to survive the horrific attack – but at a cost. Becoming cursed, the anime character is turned into a demon, and the protagonist sets out to find a cure.

Cosplayer ‘mk_ays‘ blew away fans with her incredible Demon Slayer outfit that she shared on social media in September 2019. The incredible true-to-life take on the anime heroine had over 51k likes.

Fans of the popular series went wild over how perfect she looked as the demon. User ‘frankjaegerjaques’ exclaimed “hands down the best Nezuko cosplay i’ve seen!!”

Echoing the same sentiment, ‘polkadotdesign’ asked “Where did you get this PERFECT cosplay?”.

Instagram users praised her for the “perfect” Nezuko outfit.

Ays posted more photographs of her Nezuko take on Instagram, and showed off how accurate her costume was as she posed against a tree. The cosplay star nailed her flowing pink and black lined yukata, as well as her white and red checkered waist sash.

The talented artist captured the Kamado sibling’s inner struggle when she struck a sinister gaze with her hands clawed out. She also recreated her iconic bamboo gag which the character uses to bite down on to control her urges to kill humans.

The Russian cosplayer has dressed up as characters from the show before and blew away fans with her enchanting Shinobu outfit. At the time of writing this article, she has over 210k followers as viewers continue to be in awe over her insane anime costumes.

Demon Slayer originally debuted in 2016 as a manga, and became a smash hit in 2019 with its anime adaptation by Ufotable. The popular show is getting a 2020 sequel film that will continue the story.
