Darling in the Franxx cosplayer shows off incredible Zero Two look

A Darling in the Franxx fan has shown off their appreciation for the anime with an incredible take on the series’ character Zero Two.

Darling in the Franxx follows the story of a human-klaxo sapien hybrid, who is a member of the APE Special Forces. Trained from a child to become FRANXX pilots, a mechanical armor system designed to fight Klaxosaurs, biological weapons who form the main antagonists of the anime.

Given the code name “002,” the character spends much of her time alone, until she takes interest in Hiro, partnering with Zero Two and piloting the machines.

The show captured the imaginations of fans worldwide, as they followed the story of Hiro and Zero Two, who was originally a loner and seemed uninterested in having a partner as she grew to love Hiro, eventually rekindling their romance 1000 years later when the pair were reincarnated after sacrificing their lives to save humanity.

Cosplayer ‘aka_purin’ is clearly a fan of the show, and of Zero Two, showing off an almost perfect version of the character in a costume designed by ‘uwowo_cosplay’, and photographed by ‘negai.kirameki’.

Purin’s cosplay shows the character in her original 9’s pistil suit, a red bodysuit with white accents. Zero Two’s long pink hair is instantly recognizable, while Purin also included the red horns that show the character’s half-klaxo sapien side.

The anime was well received by both Japanese and European audiences, although some felt that the final battle between the humans and the alien species none as VIRM was a little rushed.

At this time, there’s no plans for the series to continue, so fans of the anime will have to make do with the manga for the time being, which continues to release multiple times a year.
