Borderlands 3 cosplayer wows Pandora with incredible Gaige outfit
Gearbox SoftwareOne cosplayer with the Reddit username ‘jessilyncupcake’ has stunned Borderlands 3 fans with an absolutely incredible take on Gaige, the popular NPC from Gearbox Software’s 2019 title.
Since Borderlands 3 released back in late 2019, we have been treated to a host of incredible cosplays. A game so creatively designed was always going to encourage cosplayers to try their hand at some outfits, and it’s fair to say that we haven’t been disappointed.
We’ve already seen multiple incredible takes on Mad Moxxi, including this one that was debuted at Supanova Melbourne back in March. However, Jess has taken on a slightly different task – that of Gaige, the popular character who first appeared in Borderlands 2.

Gaige was originally a playable character in the Borderlands series, but was brought back as a non-playable character (NPC) in Borderlands 3. She made her way to Pandora from Eden-5, and originally conceived Deathtrap – her action skill – as a science fair project to combat bullying.
Away from her skills and lore, she is known for her unique look. She sports some awesome, spiky body armor, hooped black and white bottoms, and bright red pig-tails. As you can see, the cosplayer has got just about every aspect spot on, utilizing body paint and prosthetics to perfect the look.

Feedback to the cosplay was overwhelmingly positive, with many users praising the attention to detail and accuracy of the look. At the time of writing the cosplay sits at nearly 3,000 upvotes, reflecting the esteem with which it has been received.
Jess explained that she created the hair using 4mm and 10mm eva foam, which worked perfectly at emulating Borderlands 3’s unique aesthetics. As cosplays go, this is one of the best we’ve ever seen.
