As we approach the 15th anniversary for the beloved Nickelodeon animation Avatar: The Last Airbender, an insanely talented cosplayer wowed fans with her jaw dropping take on Katara.

The Last Airbender was a monumental show for Nickelodeon when it aired back in 2005, as the show’s kid-protagonist monk named Aang is thrust into an epic journey with mature themes.

Based on a world where people bend the elements of earth, water, air, and fire, the Avatar is meant to bring balance to everything, as they are the only person that can control all four.

A talented cosplayer shared her incredible take on Katara – one of the shows main heroes that accompanies Aang on his quest to master the elements and become the leader everyone needs.

Nickelodeon The water bending character, was a main hero in the series.

Katara brought to life

Katra is one of the main heroes on the show, as she and her brother Sokka are the ones to discover the Avatar trapped in ice at the very beginning of the series.

Cosplayer ‘nishi.artist‘ shared her costume of the heroine on her Instagram, and wowed fans by bringing the character to life with her insane photography that shows her bending water drops.

Not only does she perfectly recreate her water-tribe garb from her mittens, to the the white fur around her neck and sleeves, but she also nails the character’s signature hair style – particularly her loops.

As if that wasn’t enough, she shared further pictures taken by ‘kmitenkova‘ that utilize special effects that shows her recreating a scene from the animation where Katara is beautifully bending water around her.

Throughout the story, the character is also learning to master her bending skills, as she is initially told she can only be a “healer” because of the gender role in her tribe.

However, the character eventually becomes a master of controlling the element, and eventually becomes Aang’s teacher, which Nishi has perfectly captured with her stunning photo.

Netflix announced this year that they will be bringing back Avatar 15 years after it ended, and will be reimagining the show in a live-action format, even bringing on the series’ creators.

Fans can also get their hands on a re-release of the series, with a steelbook Blu-Ray collectors edition, although they are only making 20,000 of them so they are sure to go fast.
