What is Gunfight?
Gunfight is a 2v2 mode in Modern Warfare that will be a brand new addition to what players are used to seeing in Call of Duty multiplayer.
The mode has some significant differences from regular multiplayer modes, such as specifically designed maps small enough for just four players, health not regenerating automatically, and players having to pick up weapons from the ground instead of loading in with their preferred loadouts.

What does this mean?
As far as the release of these teaser images goes, the timing definitely coincides with the upcoming Gamescom 2019 gaming event starting on August 19 in Cologne, Germany.
Infinity Ward have already confirmed that Modern Warfare will be one of the games showcased at the event, and have promised a "special announcement" and "new gameplay."
