Prestinni Ninja Defuses Through Artillery and Fighter Pilot vs OpTic

Preston ‘Prestinni’ Sanderson won a pivotal Round 9 S&D by defusing the bomb through two scorestreaks against OpTic during a match in Stage 2 of the CWL.

Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter was carrying OpTic Gaming through the Map 2 Search against eUnited, earning an Artillery Barrage and a Fighter Pilot for use in the later rounds.

With the map score tied at four a piece and each team down a player in Round 9, OpTic planted on the A site.

Crimsix dropped his Artillery over the bomb and OpTic moved across Archway Street to defend, assuming the scorestreak would prevent a defuse from the other side.

eUnited saw that the bombsite was clear from any OpTic presence, with only the Artillery protecting the bomb.

Prestinni decided to roll the dice and hopped on for the defuse in the middle of the Artillery Barrage, taking a significant amount of damage – but no direct hits.

Not seeing any eUnited players from their position, OpTic panicked and Crim called in his Fighter Pilot. But it was too late as Prestinni finished the defuse before he could be spotted by Crim’s pilot.

eUnited would take advantage of OpTic’s wasted streaks by winning the next round to go up 2-0, but OpTic would take the next three maps to complete the reverse sweep.

This is not the first time an Artillery Barrage has been unkind to OpTic, as Dillon ‘Attach’ Price of FaZe Clan famously sprinted through one on a flank to win a 1v3 in the CWL Stage 1 Playoffs Grand Finals.
