When the Black Ops 4 competitive season got underway, OpTic dominated the early online tournaments and rolled that overwhelming momentum into a win at CWL Vegas – where they not only didn’t lose a single series but only dropped four maps throughout the entire course of the event.

However, that form has since taken a turn, with the team floundering at points during the CWL Pro League and at CWL Fort Worth. Yet, Crimsix is confident that his squad is back in their early groove and ready to reclaim their spot as top dogs.

MLGOpTic dominated at CWL Vegas but have since slipped into the middle of the pack.

Speaking about the team’s chances prior to the one and only European event of the season, the two-time world champion said: “OpTic Gaming is not the same team that we were before. Ever since we turned the streams off, we’ve been getting better every single day.”

He added: “London? It’s going to be a surprise to everybody. I think that the team you’ve seen before, Vegas, we’re probably better than we were at Vegas, so, looking forward to it.” Yet, the always entertaining Crimsix wasn’t finished there – offering up a hyped “Fuck yeah!” before closing out his thoughts.

Will OpTic claim victory at CWL London?

While Crimsix didn’t detail just what impact that not streaming practice games had exactly, it’s clearly been the driving factor behind the team’s supposed up-turn in form and new-found confidence ahead of the third major LAN event of the season.

CWL London kicks off on May 3, with OpTic facing a tough round of pool play with matchups against 100 Thieves, Enigma6 and Team Reciprocity.

Despite that, the Green Wall will be hoping for a much better showing than last time out at CWL Fort Worth and their cross-divisional play pro league round – where they were swept 3-0 by 100 Thieves, prompting these changes within the team.
