Star power is still alive and well in the first CWL 2K tournament of Black Ops 4.
Unlike the EU region that saw league teams get upset, the NA 2K is still loaded with big time organizations heading into the quarterfinals.
It was not smooth sailing for everyone though, Team EnVy, Luminosity Gaming and FaZe Clan were eliminated earlier than expected.
100 Thieves has lived up to the hype of their roster moves so far and dominated their way to the quarter-finals, but will get their first real test against G2 next.
Their potential rivals OpTic Gaming have also cruised, winning every map they have played and demonstrating they are also a class above most 2K opponents.
New look, multi-region Splyce had a convincing 3-0 over Enigma 6 to set up an intriguing QF match with Spacely, Maux and crew.
NA circuit players FASTBALLA and Profeezy upset FaZe Clan and will have another chance to take down a league team when they meet eUnited. They are currently orgless, but a few more wins could give teams something to think about before CWL Las Vegas.
Another team on the hunt for representation is Team Phantomz, who spoiled a QF match between OpTic and Luminosity by upsetting LG in Round 7. They can turn even more heads against OpTic in the next round.
The matches will begin on Monday, November 5 at 8 PM EST.
