Dylan ‘MadCat’ Daly and Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler recalled a hilarious story from simpler, and skinter, times during the most recent episode of the CoDCast.

Any time you put the likes of MadCat, NAMELESS, Joshua-Lee ‘Joshh’ Sheppard, Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall, and Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris in a room and put the cameras on, you can expect hilarity to ensue.

That’s exactly what happened during episode eight of NAMELESS’ hit show, the CoDCast, which aired live on Twitch on May 21st and was uploaded to YouTube 24 hours later.

As always, the CoDCast covered a number of subjects ranging from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 reveal and the announcement of the Blackout Battle Royale mode to recent results in the CWL Pro League and even the news about Fortnite’s staggering prize pool for the 2018-19 season.

However, the highlight of the show for many came when veteran players MadCat, Joshh, and NAMELESS began reminiscing about the old days of competitive CoD when they lived on shoestring budgets, had organizations regularly back out on funding them, and would share hotel rooms at events with upwards of 10 people.

MadCat became particularly animated during this part of the conversation and joked about how broke he was before bigger organizations and more money came into the scene.

NAMELESS even remembered one time when the hungry Brit had bought a steak from him for 120 Gamebattles Credits!

“I had a steak right? And I was cooking it and there was 10 of us in the house bro, all of his team and all of my team. I’m cooking a steak bro, cheffing that shit up. It smells fire.

Dylan walks in the kitchen, taps me on the shoulder, and he’s like ‘what are you making man?’I was like ‘a steak’, he’s like ‘can i buy that off you?’ […] I said ‘yeah uhhh I don’t know what to charge you.’

[…]

Listen, listen, listen, this man sent me 120 GB credits!”

The story sends the other members of the episode into hysterics and MadCat goes into detail, outlining the “hustle” he had to go on to fund himself while he was still at college.

The entire episode is full of laughs and NAMELESS himself took to Twitter after it concluded to say that he believed it was the best CoDCast yet.

You can watch the full episode below. The section discussing the steak begins at around the 01:08:00 mark.

Warzone dev reveals fix for missing Trick or Treat rewards bug

One of Warzone’s lead developers has responded to the frustrating Trick or Treat rewards bug during the Haunting of Verdansk event, with players not getting the Pumpkin Punisher Grau blueprint after completing all the challenges.

The Haunting of Verdansk is the special Halloween event in Warzone, with lots of new content for players to sink their teeth into.

This includes new Operator packs, including skins from horror films Saw and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as well as the new Zombie Royale game mode and, of course, the Trick or Treat Rewards.

By searching chests in 16 different locations, players can earn all manner of items from calling cards and emblems to the awesome Cleaver melee blueprint. As a result of unlocking all 16, you’re supposed to get the Grau blueprint weapon, Pumpkin Punisher — but for some people, this isn’t happening.

The Pumpkin Punisher gives a spooky spin on a previous Warzone favorite weapon, the Grau 5.56.

A number of players have reported that even after completing all 16 Trick or Treat challenges and unlocking all the rewards, the Pumpkin Punisher remains locked and isn’t added to their Armory.

One player reported the issue to Joe Cecot, the Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at developer Infinity Ward, and he suggested that the likely issue is the UI thinks players have everything, but they’re actually missing one of the rewards.

To fix this, Cecot offered a workaround, though it might not be particularly fun: he advises players to hit all the locations again and the gun will likely be unlocked, to make sure the game properly registers the completion of every single challenge. He also says that it’s “most likely the location that is still not registered will give candy out of the box.”

Of course, this will be slightly frustrating for players who have not yet unlocked the Pumpkin Punisher, despite having completed all of the relevant tasks.

Cecot did add that in the long run, they’ll “most likely fix people in this state,” though it’s unclear when that could happen, or even if at all.
