Call of Duty dataminers seem to have found confirmation of Modern Warfare 2 Remastered in the game files of the most recent Modern Warfare update.

Modern Warfare 2 has long been a fan-favorite in the Call of Duty franchise, and rumors of a remastered edition of the game coming to next-gen consoles have been thrown around for years, though they’ve definitely heated up throughout the latter half of 2019 and 2020.

Now, dataminers appear to have found concrete proof that a remastered version of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign is on its way, thanks to artwork found in Modern Warfare’s game files.

Reddit user MrEarthboundFan found an image of the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered artwork, bringing back the iconic MW2 cover art with the accompanying “Campaign Remastered” text slotting nicely beneath it.

This is, so far, the most clear-cut leak that something big is in the works from Infinity Ward, and EarthboundFan even provided some additional details on content coming to the game. Another user, Senescallo, showed off a Ghost Oil Rig cosmetic bundle, bringing back Ghost’s original Modern Warfare 2 design to the current title.

It’s also suggested that players who buy the game will receive the Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle, though it’s not yet clear what exactly this entails.

The Ghost cosmetics bundle features a new outfit, weapon skins and more to showcase Ghost as we all remember him, as the hardened veteran in MW2.

As you can see below, the M4A1 assault rifle will get a new look inspired by TF141 – one of the playable teams in Modern Warfare 2.

The full list of cosmetic items that are to be available in the rumored Oil Rig bundle are:

  • UDT Ghost (Legendary Operator skin)
  • Task Force (Legendary M4A1)
  • One for One (Legendary 1911)
  • Free Dive (Rare Charm)
  • Belly Flop (Epic Ghost Finishing Move)
  • Stay Frosty (Epic Ghost Operator Quip)
  • No Easy Days (Epic Animated Calling Card)
  • Ghost (Rare Emblem)

According to the leaks, the bundle will be priced at 10,000 COD Points, but that figure includes the game. Whether this is the price at launch or simply a placeholder remains to be seen.

Though a lot of hints and leaks have come out so far, this one is by far the most believable, and will surely get fans riled up over the idea of revisiting the iconic campaign once again.

Although there are no nods to the idea of the multiplayer being remastered, Senescallo also revealed a whole bunch of new details on Modern Warfare season 3, including changes to Warzone and some iconic Modern Warfare maps being redesigned for the current title.

Though we do not have a date yet, it looks like Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is going to be coming sooner rather than later.

How to get Flaming Pumpkin Head in Warzone & Modern Warfare

The Halloween Event in Modern Warfare & Warzone has brought in a whole bunch of new content for players to sink their teeth into — but one thing that players are chasing is the new Pumpkin Head and Flaming Pumpkin Head look.

As most uber-popular games do nowadays, Infinity Ward are capitalizing on the Halloween period with their own celebrations, including the Haunting in Verdansk Warzone event, new Operator packs with spooky skins and cosmetics and the Zombie Royale game mode.

With the new Trick or Treat rewards, you can also loot chests to find fun new blueprints, such as the Cleaver melee weapon that are exclusive to the Halloween event.

That said, the new Pumpkin Head style isn’t something you can pick up from the store or on your Battle Pass, and requires you to complete something in-game.

The Haunting of Verdansk event has brought iconic horror characters Leatherface and Jigsaw to Warzone.

Killstreak for Flaming Pumpkin head

The Pumpkin Head comes in two variants — either its regular version or, if you’re good enough, it sets alight too, letting you run around with a Flaming Pumpkin Head as you decimate enemies in the game.

Unfortunately, though, it’s not something you can equip. If you want to adorn the Pumpkin Head in multiplayer, you have to go on a 3 killstreak.

If you want to go one up and have a Flaming Pumpkin Head, though, you have to actually go on a 10 killstreak, which is significantly harder than 3, but makes the pumpkin ever more impressive. You will, however, lose it upon death.

There are also a number of emblems, calling cards and more with the pumpkin for Halloween.

How to get the Pumpkin Head in Warzone

It’s worth noting that this doesn’t work the same in Warzone as it does in multiplayer. While many believe the pumpkin head can be earned through a 3 killstreak in Warzone, this isn’t actually true.

So far, it seems the only way to get the pumpkin head in Warzone is to pick up a juggernaut, which automatically comes with the head attached as standard during the Haunting of Verdansk event.

Of course, while players who come up against you and your lit pumpkin head will know that you’re evidently a good player, it does make you a lot easier to see, so beware as enemies make more of an effort to hunt you out and stop you from staying low-key, especially if you’re seeking even higher killstreaks.
