Incredible Statistics of the OpTic Gaming CoD Dynasty (2015-2018)

May 6, 2018 will go down as one of the most notorious and publicized days in Call of Duty RosterMania history.

On that day, the OpTic Gaming CoD roster, one which was considered by many as the greatest of all time, was split up with two of the players leaving the team.

In the three-plus years since they came together, the quartet of Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, Mathew ‘FormaL’ Piper, and Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow dominated the CoD esports scene.

The teammates won 13 major championships together, and their victory at the 2017 CWL Championships cemented their legacy as a dynasty.

Now that the roster has been reshaped, it is worth looking back at exactly how dominant the team was over the past several years.

‘JPKrez,’ of the competitive CoD stats team ‘CoDStats,’ has provided a look at the fabled OpTic Gaming dynasty by the numbers.

His statistics display the roster’s winning percentage of each LAN gametype within the four games that the team competed in. (Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3, Infinite Warfare, WWII)

Overall LAN Gametype W-L Records:

Hardpoint: 226-85 (72.67%)

SnD: 165-98 (62.74%)

CTF: 59-25 (70.24%)

Uplink: 125-36 (77.64%)

  • Championships: 4 out of 7 possible (57%)
  • Best Game Mode: Capture the Flag 88.89% (8-1)

  • Championships: 5 out of 9 possible (56%)
  • Best Game Mode: Hardpoint 86.49% (32-5)

  • Championships: 4 out of 8 possible (50%)
  • Best Game Mode: Search and Destroy 76.09% (70-22)

  • Championships: 0 out of 6 possible (0%)
  • Best Game Mode: Hardpoint 65.91% (58-30)

Perhaps the most telling statistic of the bunch is the one for Search and Destroy. S&D is considered by many to be the most important game mode, and is often used in the phrase “S&D wins championships.”

Therefore, it must come as no surprise that their highest season in terms of S&D winning percentage was during the IW season (76.09%), which was arguably their best season as they won four major championships, including CoD Champs.

The only season in which the team did not have an S&D winning percent over 50% was during the current WWII season, in which they did not win a single major trophy.
