On the heels of Operation Hot Pursuit, Treyarch is already looking forward to their next main event for Black Ops. So far teasers have been pointing to a new game mode, but a surprising reveal is signaling the debut for a classic character.

In an April 25 post, the Call of Duty Twitter released a 40 second clip of a squad making their way through a compound just before being completely annihilated by a figure lurking in the shadows.

ActivisionThe Black Ops 4 roster has added a few Specialists from previous games, such as Seraph, and will continue that trend with the new release.

Spectre coming into the Black Ops 4

Fans got instantly hyped after watching the brief clip that strongly indicates Black Ops 3 Specialist Spectre will make its return back to the battle grounds.

The teaser ends with a simple tag saying “Strike from the Shadows.” It’s looking like April 30 will introduce another Black Ops 3 alum to the latest title in the franchise.

It’ll be interesting to see if Treyarch keeps Spectre relatively unchanged for its Black Ops 4 debut, or if the Specialist will be largely the same from the previous game.

The next Operation in Black Ops 4

The Black Ops 4 devs have already confirmed that the game’s next major event will be coming out on April 30 on PlayStation 4, with PC and Xbox expected to soon follow the following week on May 7.

The studio must be hard at work since they plan on doing the routine drop for the game’s main pillars of Multiplayer, Zombies and Blackout while also hyping up the return of Prop Hunter.

Although they’ve kept the specifics of the next Operation close to the vest, the company plans on doing a “detailed Operation roadmap, reveal trailer, and Treyarch studio livestream in the coming days” to clue in their fans for what’s to come in Black Ops 4.
