CoD pros reveal who they want to face in a 1v1 on Rust

With the infamous Rust map making its return in 2019’s Modern Warfare, the game’s best players reveal who they would most like to face in a sniper shootout on the abandoned desert environment.
Any Call of Duty player will be familiar with Rust, the Modern Warfare 2 map that has since shifted to become a timeless arena for 1v1s. It has returned in a number of CoDs, such as Advanced Warfare, and was added to the most recent installment, CoD: Modern Warfare, back in February.
The map is known for its grid-like structure and tiny size, lending itself to some chaotic, fast-paced gameplay. In the center of the map there is a large metallic tower, which quickly established itself as a power position and a great location for trickshots.

A host of the pros called out one another. Scump, the veteran SMG playing for Chicago Huntsmen, called out Atlanta Faze’s Abezy, citing the “trash talk” he is regularly given. In response, the reigning World Champion called out Scump, joking that the pair are always at each other’s throats on Twitter.

Atlanta’s Simp also proved a popular choice, with many pros looking to chalk up a win over the young MVP. He made his name with some incredible plays on Black Ops 4. These included an insane sniper three-piece against Units at CoD Champs, which featured at number 3 on our Top 10 CoD Champs 2019 plays.

Whether these 1v1s will ever actually happen is up in the air, but we know plenty of people who would want to see such events.
