The Call of Duty World Championship is set to take place on August 14 in Los Angeles and will offer a massive $2 million dollar prize pool for the 32 qualified teams to compete for.

Each of the teams will get to battle it out at the most prestigious event of the season in attempt to secure their own CWL Championship rings and trophy.

The CWL Finals Open Bracket saw some major upsets such as back-to-back to Open Champions and tournament favorites, Mindfreak, falling short and failing to qualify for the final event of the year.

There were also many underdog stories at the Open Bracket event with many new names set to make their CWL Champs debut this year.

With an $800,000 first place prize pool, it’s all to play for in the final season of non-franchised Call of Duty esports.

Evil Geniuses are the reigning World Champions – but the roster experienced the ‘Champs curse’ and split up later in Black Ops 4.
