While streaming Apex Legends, Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek pulled off a play that was jaw-dropping even by his incredibly high standards.

A former professional CS:GO player, since retiring from pro play Shroud has become one of the most popular broadcasters on Twitch, renowned for his exceptional mechanical skills and ability to pick up new FPS titles and instantly dominate.

As with the majority of Twitch’s most popular streamers, Shroud has spent the last few weeks glued to Apex Legends, which has enjoyed a viral explosion of popularity since its launch on February 4.

During a stream on February 27 Shroud pulled off arguably his most impressive play in the new battle royale to date, after coming to the rescue of his team-mates who were being focused down by an enemy squad.

EAApex Legends hit incredible milestones in record time, with over 25 millions players just a week after release.

Immediately after he finished off the first player, Shroud switched his focus with a 90 degree snap worthy of an aim-bot for an instant second kill, before burning down the third with laser precision.

The play was so insane that even Shroud himself, usually fairly impassive despite frequently pulling off plays far beyond the capabilities of most players, commented on how impressive it was.

Shroud, who was already one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, experienced an additional surge in viewership with the release of Apex Legends.

The boost in viewing figures, which saw Shroud’s streams pass 100,000 concurrent viewers on several occasions, were so surprising that Shroud even suggested that they must be a result of view-botting, and encouraged viewers to watch other broadcasters as well.

It’s unsurprising, considering Shroud’s ability to pull off plays like this, that his channel has become the most popular destination for viewers looking to watch high-level Apex Legends.
