At this point, it’s safe to say Apex is one of the biggest games of the year already, with plenty of popular streamers putting in a significant amount of time on the game.

Two big Overwatch streamers, Brandon ‘Seagull’ Lanred and Atlanta Reign pro Daniel ‘dafran’ Francesca managed to pull off a hilarious and sneaky win in Apex while grouped during a recent stream.

Seagull and dafran were the last two remaining in their group after their third teammate, Dallas Fuel Support Benjamin “uNKOE” Chevasson, was eliminated earlier in the match.

With only one other squad left, the pair of streamers were hidden under a rock just inside the late game circle.

The pair’s master plan was to call down Seagull’s Care Package and wait for the other team to take the bait before ambushing them.

Turns out the other players were right on top of the pair, so in the end, it came down to a firefight which the professional gamer and the professional streamer managed to win.

Seagull isn’t the only former Dallas Fuel player to be dipping into Apex either, as his former teammate, Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has already been using his Winston skills to dominate the new battle royale.

With more than 10 million players in the first week, it’s clear countless other streamers from are also giving the new game a shot.

There’s no telling when the Apex hype will die down, but for now, a lot of Overwatch players seem to be enjoying the new hero shooter.
