A creative Apex Legends fan has shared their awesome concept skins for Octane, giving a unique twist to the popular adrenaline junkie.

Following the game’s February release, the Apex Legends community has proved itself to be particularly creative; regularly sharing fan-made skins and ways in which they think Respawn’s battle royale can be improved.

Octane was added to Apex Legends with the start of Season 1, and has quickly grown to be a hit with fans. His abilities focus on mobility and closing enemies down rapidly – from his launch-pad ultimate to his stim-shot tactical.

Octane has a range of skins in-game which he can show off in matches, but, like Bangalore, some fans feel that his skins are a little less exciting than some of the other legends.

On December 27 one player – Reddit user ‘Sorotrax’ – shared their awesome concept skin for Octane, channeling a number of impressive features.

The adrenaline junkie’s helmet looks to be inspired by a Roman Gladiator, while still maintaining Octane’s trademark goggles and face mask. Octane’s body is wrapped in a black gown of sorts, which is almost reminiscent of the popular Assassins Creed games.

Finally, the leg blades on which his mobility is based are drenched in orange and yellow, matching his stim shot and backpack. Overall, it’s a seriously creative effort, and would be absolutely awesome in-game.

The post was very popular among other players too, with one responding, “This skin would make me play Octane”. Another said: “This skin is better than the actual skins we got in the game.”

Sorotrax’ interpretation of Octane is awesome, and would not look out of place in the game. While it seems unlikely now, Respawn may potentially add a feature to allow fan concepts to be implemented into the game.

Fan suggestions don’t just center around character skins however; one fan recently floated an idea to improve the in-game banners, while another made a brilliant video to summarize Season 3’s issues.
