Incredible concept for Wattson’s heirloom in Apex Legends

One Apex Legends fan and artist has created a brilliant concept heirloom for the electrifying legend Wattson, which would slot perfectly alongside those already in Respawn’s acclaimed BR.

It has been just over a year since Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall-inspired battle royale exploded in popularity, and it remains one of the world’s most popular games even now.

As efforts to diversify in-game content grew, heirlooms were introduced to Apex Legends. These are ultra-rare cosmetic items that pertain to specific legends. For every 500 Apex Packs a player opens, they are guaranteed 1 heirloom.

Currently, only five legends have specific heirloom sets: Wraith, Bloodhound, Lifeline, Pathfinder and Octane.

Wattson, added in Season 2, is notably absent from the list. This absence led one artist to get creative, and sketch their very own concept for a Wattson heirloom.

The heirloom pertains to Wattson’s cylindrical electrical device that she currently houses in her backpack. The concept, done by Reddit user ‘Newbie_Juneon’, utilizes Wattson’s trademark white, orange and blue to create a wholly awesome heirloom.

Reaction to the concept was overwhelmingly positive, with many fans impressed by the attention to detail. For example, electricity can be seen crackling around the heirloom, in the manner it does from her current backpack.

One fan expressed surprise that the design was completed in just one day, while another commented on how awesome it would be to see in-game, praising the artist’s attention to detail.

While there’s no guarantee that we’ll see a Wattson heirloom added anytime soon, the overwhelming response to the fan’s post suggests there is significant clamor for such an item.

Other legends fans stated they want to see concepts for included Crypto and Mirage. We’ll just have to wait and see what Respawn have up their sleeves.
