Dr Disrespect’s new Apex Legends map idea might be too insane to work

Apex Legends Season 4 has gotten off to a strong start, and Dr Disrespect thinks he could make it even better.

Being a former game designer himself, Doc has plenty of ideas to improve games, and he revealed what he’d do for Apex to spice some things up.

When the battle royale first launched in 2019, it did so with Kings Canyon as the only map. Eventually, it was phased out for the newer World’s Edge location.

Revenant has dropped in World’s Edge.

However, the original map holds an important place in the hearts of many, and there is always a lot of excitement when it’s brought back.

The Two-Time might have figured out a way to blend both worlds together by keeping the new map, but also finding a way to bring back the old one.

“What if they bridged this map and the first map together,” he started. “And added 500 players.”

His squad instantly agreed with him with his squad of Kraftyy and Viss both saying it’d be “nuts” if Respawn ever decided to go that route.

The chances of this ever happening are practically slim to none, considering the current-gen consoles, and most PCs for that matter, would have a lot of trouble handling a game of this magnitude.

Your typical match would play more like a PowerPoint presentation, chugging along as 500 players wander across the map. Then again, even having 100 players in a match was likely looked like as impossible 10 years ago, so who knows, perhaps this is something that could happen.

It would be interesting for fans to see how the developers could blend the maps together in the first place, given the sheer number of differences between the two.

For the time being, it’s looking like Apex Legends will be sticking with World’s Edge, that is until Respawn decides to switch things up again and add a third map into the mix.
