Bizarre Apex Legends bug awards player with a victory for doing nothing

Getting a win in Apex Legends can be a pretty difficult ordeal, but this bug has made things about as easy as they can be for players.

Most players will have to defeat 19 other squads to come away with a victory in Apex, but this player was able to skip all of the hard stuff and earn the victory right away.

The hit battle royale title from Respawn Entertainment has had its share of bugs over its lifespan, but this one might be one of the craziest we’ve seen so far.

RespawnWins don’t get much easier than this.

Instead of having to loot weapons, eliminating other players, and getting to safe zones, all these players had to do was drop into the game.

That’s right – all Reddit user gbarreto had to do was queue up, and they were rewarded with perhaps the easiest victory ever.

The only thing he had to do was land on the ground and secure the win. For whatever reason, he spawned in all by himself, without even having teammates.

This isn’t the first time this bug has popped up and it probably won’t be the last, but it’s not really game-breaking outside of rewarding players with a simple victory. Getting free wins is almost nice, but being spawned into a ghost lobby like this frequently would quickly become annoying.

What would be even crazier is if getting a win this way would result in a tougher lobby next time thanks to the implementation of skill-based matchmaking.

EACelebrate easy wins with your buddies.

If the game sees you’re winning a bunch of matches, it might decide to put you in with players who are also winning. Of course, bugged lobbies like this won’t happen very often so players shouldn’t have to worry about that.

The developers haven’t addressed or fixed this issue as of yet, so keep an eye on the Trello board and see if anything pops up there in the coming days.

In the meantime, perhaps you’ll be able to bring home an easy win by getting into an empty lobby.
