Apex Legends fans have called on Respawn to introduce new “evolving” Legend skins as the final reward in future battle passes.

In many of the top online multiplayer titles, players will often look to customize their playable character to stand out above the rest of the competition with different skins and accessories.

Apex Legends is no different, and although Respawn has released many high-quality cosmetic items for players to collect, fans are now calling on them to introduce “evolving” skins that can change across the course of a game.

Apex Legends fans would like to see their favorite character skins evolve in-game.

The idea was first shared on the Apex Legends subreddit by u/Poolbeard, who explained that evolving skins would make a great addition to the popular battle royale.

They suggested that the evolving skins, which would alter after hitting a certain number of kills, could be perfect as a final reward in the upcoming battle passes and even shared an example of how it would look.

“I would love to see the final battle pass skins being for Legends, I love seeing evolving skins in other games and I would love to see them in Apex,” they added, posting an image of how the skins would evolve.

The Legendary Jade Tiger skin for Octane was used to demonstrate how the skins would evolve after different killstreaks, suggesting that changes such as glowing eyes and the Legend’s suit lighting up could be used to differentiate between each stage.

Since the concept was first posted, many other Apex Legends fans have shown their support for the clever idea and called on Respawn to consider adding some to the game for each legend in the future.

Apex Legends has already implemented weapon skins that evolve based on the number of kills you pick up, as was seen with the Season 1 Legendary Havoc skin, but different stages of a character skin would be much more noticeable for those looking to intimidate their enemies when having a good game.

However, until then fans looking for new ways to customize their character will be able to pick up some of the latest skins that have been announced for the upcoming Old Ways Bloodhound event on April 7.
