Apex Legends Fight or Fright update: Shadowfall LTM, patch notes

Calum Patterson

The first event of Apex Legends Season 3 is upon us, as the game takes on a spooky theme for the month of October with the Fight or Fright event.

Only two weeks ago a new season began, bringing with it a brand new map, the new legend Crypto and bundles of skins and cosmetics.

Respawn have been hard at work though, and are getting in the Halloween spirit with their new mid-season event, even bringing back Kings Canyon to celebrate.

Shadowfall limited-time mode

However, it’s not Kings Canyon as you know it, but rather a spooky night time version, as the masked ‘Revenant’ figure puts on his own twisted game.

Players have been able to hop into this mode early, despite the event not officially set to go live until 1pm EST  / 6pm BST on October 15.

Here’s how the mode works:

Solo Legends fight to the death but with a dark twist – when Legends die, they are reborn on the “Shadow Squad”, an ever-growing faction of dark Legends who return from the dead to haunt their living counterparts with increased mobility and brutal melee attacks. The last 10 Living Legends will join forces to try to escape while the Shadow Squad attempts to stop them at all costs.

Respawn EntertainmentA Halloween skin is available for every legend.
