Apex Legends Wattson trailer launched ahead of Season 2 release

Respawn have released a new Apex Legends Season 2 trailer, giving players an in-depth look at the special ability of new character Wattson, who will make her debut when the update launches on July 2.

Wattson makes her debut in Apex Legends season 2, which launches on July 2. The new legend is just one of many additions to the battle royale game, alongside a new weapon, new map locations, and a new ranked mode.

As well as showing off Wattson in action, the trailer reveals more details about the character’s backstory, explaining how she got her nickname.

The narrator starts by introducing us to Wattson, explaining that “Natalie Paquette’s first love has always been electricity, hence her nickname, Wattson.”

    There’s not long to go until you’ll be able to try out these electric fences for yourself, although it isn’t clear what time on July 2 the update will launch.

    With Season 1 receiving a lukewarm reception from fans, there is a lot riding on this patch, and we’ll see if Wattson – along with the other new additions – can revive the fortunes of Respawn’s battle royale.

    What else is coming with Season 2?

    The start of Season 2 brings a ranked mode, the L-Star LMG, some potential map changes and a whole lot more, which we’ll be able to see when the patch notes are made available.

    Respawn listened to a lot of fan feedback about the first season and promised to make improvements, something we’re seeing firsthand with all the announcements.
