One Piece: Eiichiro Oda fixes major error in manga
CrunchyrollAfter apologizing for an error in the One Piece manga, Eiichiro Oda has fixed it in a new version.
The One Piece manga is currently featuring its Egghead Arc, which has delivered many shocking and thrilling chapters since it began. Not only do we see Luffy’s adventures on a new island, but the story also follows several fan-favorite characters.
Whether it’s Shanks vs Kid, Blackbeard vs Law, the Reverie flashback, Garp’s invasion in Hachinosu, or Kuma’s backstory, each of these events brought a new set of surprises for us. Kuma’s past is one of the saddest backstories in One Piece.
While the story itself is phenomenal, one of the chapters had a major error. Luckily, Eiichiro Oda fixed it in a new volume.
Eiichiro Oda fixes Chapter 1098 in One Piece Volume 108
One Piece will release Volume 108 on March 4, 2024. It is titled “Better Off Dead in This World” and will include Chapters 1089 to 1100. Not only will the volume feature Luffy’s epic fight with Kizaru, but it will also include Kuma’s entire backstory.
However, Chapter 1098 of One Piece was roughly drawn. It has all of the vignettes and texts; however, some pages are not fully complete. Some vignettes just include the sketch before the finished drawing. Either way, it could be a bit difficult to understand what’s going on at first glance. The mangaka apologized for the chapter.
Chapter 1098 is also incredibly emotional and tragic as it continues Kuma’s past as he loses someone he deeply cherishes. Additionally, it also reveals his connection with Bonney. The upcoming volume will include neatly drawn panels since Eiichiro Oda worked extra to fix all the rough sketches.
Apart from all these chapters, the volume includes a special cover featuring Luffy in his Gear 5 form, with his limbs spread open. Kizaru is standing behind at the very center of the cover, shooting lasers from his hand.
Meanwhile, Bonney is running behind Luffy towards the left side while on the right, and injured Sentamaru is looking up. Below Luffy, Vegapunk is piloting the Vegatank-08, with Franky, Atlas, and Sanji sitting inside it.
Apart from the cover and chapter, a special SBS section will also be there, as always. The SBS (Shitsumon o Bosh Suru), which translates to “I’m Taking Questions,” is a special column that lays out Eiichiro Oda’s responses to fans’ letters on a wide range of topics. The questions are mostly about the series and things they find confusing.
