The replacement of Rhys ‘Rated’ Price in the Elevate Call of Duty lineup is now complete ahead of CWL Anaheim.
The British squad revealed on Monday May 16th that the Welshman had left on his own accord, after helping the team take third place in Group Green at the CWL Global Pro League ahead of Red Reserve.
Their placement meant that they would be automatically qualified for Stage Two of the competition and guaranteed a pool play spot at CWL Anaheim’s $200,000 event, but after a string of poor results, Rated revealed he left because he wanted to win. He has yet to disclose his next destination.
Replacing the former Splyce and Orbit player meant dipping into the European teams who had failed to qualify for the league in the first place, with the former iGame roster the logical place to look.
It was announced late on Wednesday, May 17th that former Epsilon player and iGame player Ben ‘Desire’ Wright would be slotting into the Elevate lineup. He was dropped by Epsilon in favour of Joshua-Lee ‘Joshh’ Shephard prior to CWL Dallas.
The team will now prepare for CWL Anaheim taking place between June 16th to 18th, prior to Stage Two of the CWL GPL starting at the end of June.
