Morten “zEVES” Vollan, through his official twitter page, announced that the players from Norse have decided that the current team will part ways and become free agents effective immediately.
The fallout announcement comes after a disappointing finish at the Copenhagen Games 2017 Qualifier where they finished 9th/16th after being eliminated in the Round of 16 by eXtatus.
Norse wasn’t turning heads with its play, but they had some fairly good finishes on the minor league tournament circuit.
They finished first at the Gigacon Prime CSGO Championships in 2016 and another championship at the Telenorligaen, again in 2016.
Norse was formerly known as deadweight, and the Norwegians created Norse as a player-owned organization in October of 2016.
The team was looking to break into the upper echelon of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene, trying to crack the Top 25. The team would never realize that goal, but would continue to compete, being one of the better mid-level teams.
zEVES went to twitter and said that he is still interested in coaching and will be fielding any offers that come his way.
