OpTic Gaming continued their dominance at the CWL Dallas Open with an emphatic 3-0 victory against EnVyUs.
Despite their reputation for occasionally starting tournaments slow, OpTic Gaming end the first day of CWL Dallas with a flawless record.
Having dispatched both Tainted Minds and Red Reserve without dropping a map, OpTic were certainly looking formidable prior to their match against EnVyUs. To do the same to the reigning World Champions, however, really puts emphasis on just how strong this team are looking.
It wasn’t a particularly close 3-0 either. Occasionally, the final map count doesn’t necessarily tell the whole story, when a few key kills might have made the difference on a number of maps. In this case, however, the score was definitely representative of the maps. The reigning World Champions looked utterly outclassed against this OpTic Gaming squad.
Having run through the CWL Paris Open play-offs to the trophy without dropping a single game, OpTic now boast a twenty-map winning streak on LAN. With Formal establishing himself as the undeniable best player in the world right now, OpTic Gaming may even look more dangerous than ever before.
