The CoD World League schedule in Europe has gone from quiet to busy in just one week, with four events announced.
The European community were beginning to voice their frustration at the lack of events, with only 1 open tournament taking place across the entirety of 2016 when EGL London took place in July.
When Infinite Warfare was launched, it was widely believed that Activision would be bucking this trend and announcing big events throughout the year. That suspicion has now been confirmed with events across the UK and France.
In order to fulfil the quota of events, four different companies will take charge of each event with Gfinity hosting in London, ESWC running theirs in Paris, Multiplay incorporating into their Birmingham show and finally EGL returning to Sheffield.
Prize pools for the tournaments range between $25,000 and $100,000, with each event distributing over 38,000 CoD Pro Points.
It’s expected that North America and APAC will also get their own regional tournaments announced for 2017 in the coming weeks, with a March event expected in the South.
