One of the world’s biggest companies have announced their entry into the esports market with the sponsorship of SK Gaming.
Visa Inc are multi-billion dollar company who operate a money transfer facilitation service, with their branded services distributing credit and debit cards to financial services world wide.
SK Gaming are one of the world’s largest esports teams, and whilst based in Germany, are well known for their double Major winning Brazilian CS:GO team.
The full press release on the SK Gaming website cites VISA as their official payment partner for 2017, with a number of planned activities for the players, including Gabriel ‘FalleN’ Toledo, Epitacio ‘TACO’ de Melo and Danny ‘Husky Engels all making an appearance at CES 2017.

Teaming up with SK Gaming is the second recent venture into a new business for Visa, after partnering up with electronic racing series Formula E. „With the Formula E and now eSports, Visa has shown that they are committed to support the sports of the future.
