In a groundbreaking collaboration between Dexerto and SCL, esports academies will be rolled out in the UK to provide government accredited esports courses. Successful students will graduate with a BTEC Level 3 equivalent to 3 A Levels.

In partnership with Dexerto, SCL is expanding into the fast-growing esports market to offer a range of opportunities for students and teachers, starting with a Project Manager role that will oversee the launch of its very first esports academy.

  • Gain a qualification for a future career in Digital Marketing, learning about the esports and video-games market along the way

We have a vacancy for a Project Manager to launch our new academies, ensure they are successful and provide great opportunities for 16-18 year olds.


Responsibilities will include: 

  • Project Manage this key, important and innovative Project
  • Liaise with partners to ensure the programme will attract and engage high level learners
  • Research and launch an education gaming centre
  • Create an inspiring esports academy programme for the next generation
  • Ensure the programme content is aligned to Level 3 and Ofsted requirements and expectations
  • Market the programme to attract interest from targeted potential learners
  • Recruit learners onto the programme
  • Build strong relationships with partners, sponsors and universities


The ideal candidate will be:

  • forward thinking and progressive
  • in tune with the digital age, the latest technology and savvy with gaming ideally.
  • a strong educationalist ideally in further education and potentially with a teaching background
  • Excellent English and Maths skills with at least GCSE Grade A-C and ideally one subject at A Level.
  • extremely competitive with a strong desire to succeed
  • a strong project manager with clear planning skills and strong ideas
  • a high influencer
  • able to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment at the same time as with public sector education and government bodies.
  • a willingness to learn about the fast-developing eco system of esports.
